- The IPMS San Diego met on February 28 at the Girl Scout Center, located
1231 Upas St. in San Diego.
Albeit a rainy evening, a good number of members attended the meeting.

Scott Langille is working on a 1:20th scale Ebbro Lotus 72E John Player Special, an excellent kit that
almost snaps together.

Gary Williams acquired a 1:48th scale KA-3B Skywarrior, a Trumpeter model that he's been wanting
to build for a long time.

Ethan Idenmill's Queen Elizabeth II shows progress. Ethan also started work on a 28mm figure by Grenadier, a Female Magic User.

Tony Beres is working on a 1:48th scale Tamiya P-51 B that he plans to finish in Sharkmouth
CBI colors and markings. Built out-of-the-box, except for PE seat belts and decals.

Jerry Jackson has built a 1:48th scale Monogram F-4 J for a commission work. Jerry sanded down all
panel lines, painted the aircraft in gloss colors and mounted it on a base to make it a desktop model.

Colin Hodges is planning on building a 1:32nd scale Italeri F-104 G/S Starfighter.

Fred Fimbres is working on a 1:48th scale Academy Hunting Tiger, a 1979 motorized model. Fred has
a hard time with the decals, and says that the instruction sheet is very poor.

Jose Gonzalez has weathered this 1:700th scale Matchbox USS San Diego CL-53 to match a photograph of the ship anchored in the Boston Bay in 1943. The model is otherwise built out-of-the-box.

Dan King used a 1:25th scale Revell Cadillac Escalade SUV and a Monogram Ford F-350 Pick-up to create a 1-ton "Dually", matching the pick-up bed to the SUV cab. The 44-foot, tri-axle fifth wheel is a Galaxie Limited trailer with a hoist to which Dan plans to hang a 426 Hemi engine.
