This month's meeting saw more preparation for our June Model Expo, including a plan to train any member who would like to be a judge at the event. Starting with the March meeting, with help from experienced judges Lead Judge Jerry Jackson will show any volunteer what makes the difference between a good model and a better one.

Also during the meeting a couple of motions were passed to sponsor two other IPMS chapters that regularly support our show.

A good number of models were brought for Show 'n Tell. Alberto Ramos (below) started the presentation with his '65 Ford Mustang, an AMT kit in 1:16th scale with a Cobra engine.

Manny Gutsche has now attached the wings of his Italeri 1:48th scale U2 to the fuselage. Slow progress, but the finish of the aircraft should be flawless.

Richard Abraham is working on a Strikemaster, a 1:48th scale Fly model that Richard plans to finish in colors and markings of Botswana Air Force.

Robert Curtin is building two LSTs from Skywave in 1:700th scale that will be part of a diorama depicting a small sliver of action on June 7, 1944 on the Normandy coast.

Jerry Jackson brought a 1:72nd scale Elefant (above) and a Dornier DO335 (right) in the same scale. Jerry plans to take both models to ValleyCon on the Sunday after this meeting. |

Gilbert Barron is working on a 1:35th scale Italeri Tiger 1 tank.

And Ethan Idenmill decided to add two human figures and a horse to his 1:72nd scale Dragon T-34/85 to help make it more of a story, although the quality of the ESCI figures is rather poor.
