Gordon also served as an Intel Specialist for P-3s on Diego Garcia. His ships were
the carriers Eisenhower and Midway, and frigates Kirk and Hepburn. Since he retired, Gordon has interviewed pilots from WWII for researchers. In 2001, he held the only postwar reunion for Kommando Welter, the Luftwaffe nightfighter squadron that flew the Me 262 jet. |
